Australia Part 1 - Animals of Australia

This week we begin our Journey Around the World. We are starting with Australia. We got on our airplane, made the very long journey and stamped our passport. Check out my previous post for the passport and stamps that we used.

This week we delved into learning about some of the animals native to Australia. We talked about marsupials and learned that there are many different ones in Australia. We loved reading about them, seeing pictures and watching videos of them in the wild. We also loved creating them by drawing or crafts. We've been talking about them all week at the dinner table. We now feel like we want to hop on a plane to see them for ourselves.

These are the main animals we focused on:

  • Kookaburra
  • Kangaroo
  • Wombat
  • Koala
  • Dingo
  • Platypus
Here are links to the resources we used. Be sure to check out my Pinterest board with more ideas.
