Shemini Parsha Summary This week we learned about the dedication of the Mishkan. Aharon's sons Nadav and Avihu wanted to connect to Hashem so they brought ketoret. It wasn't authorized by Hashem so they were punished.  Aharon's other sons, Elazar and Isamar were kohanim and served in the Mishkan. We learned that there are 2 signs for an animal to be kosher. Being that Colombia borders on 2 oceans, we delved into sharks, humpback whales and sea turtles. We really enjoyed learning about them. We learned a bit of Spanish. We cooked lots of Colombian food. Finally, we really enjoyed getting glimpses of beautiful places in Colombia. FOOD: We made lots of different Colombian foods. We really enjoyed trying out the new flavors. I made all these recipes. Huevos Pericos (Colombian Scrambled Eggs With Onions & Tomato) Aliños Colombianos (Seasoning Paste) Chuleta de Pollo (Colombian-Style Breaded Chicken Breast)  This was delicious and now it's become a weekly staple. Homemade Arequipe or Dulce de Leche  This was
