7 Favorite Games for Family Night
Every Saturday night, we have Family Night. We spend time all together playing games, doing puzzles, baking or doing art together. It's our favorite time of the week. We have a large collection of games. Many are favorites that my husband and I play. Here are a bunch of games that my family loves playing together. My children are under age 7 and are able to play these well.
I'm always looking for new games. Let me know in the comments what your family favorites are!
- UNO ATTACK
This is the latest addition to our game collection. We absolutely love this game. It's the game of UNO but with more suspense and fun. You load the cards into the machine and when it's time to draw, you press the button. You never know what you're going to get. You may get 0 cards or 8. Every time you have to press the button, you're filled with suspense. It is a game full of laughter and fun. My children are able to play the game well and it is now a family favorite. - The Game of Life
This was our favorite last year. We played it every week. The kids needed some help with reading, but the rest they were able to do. The game is updated since I was a kid. There are some nice additions, but I do miss some aspects from the older addition. It's always fun to dream and rack up lots of money, houses and kids. I highly recommend this game for hours of fun. - Trouble
This is a classic and you can't go wrong here. We have played this together for several years. Even my very young children were able to join. We really enjoy this game as a family. My kids often play the game together on their own. - Go Fish
We have 2 versions of this game. Go fish has always been a favorite of mine. It's a great memory game. You can't go wrong with a game of Go Fish. I've played this game with my children as young as 2 1/2-3. It's a wonderful game to play during one on one time with your children as it doesn't take too long and you're able to chat while playing. - Guess Who
The version I have is over 20 years old from when I was a little girl. My kids love playing this game. I'm so glad we are able get good use out of it so many years later. To make it more challenging, we choose 3-5 cards at a time to guess. - Qwirkle
We received this game last year. It's a fun game where you need to make matches of colors/shapes. It's simpler for kids than Rummikub, but I still think it's for children that are a drop older, that's why I put it at the bottom of the list. - Rummikub
My husband and I love Rummikub. We've played it for years. My kids like to join us every once in a while. They're still too little to play without our assistance, so I'd recommend playing it when you have lots of time to teach. Until they're older, you can use it for color and number sorting. Sequencing numbers is another great activity that can keep them occupied for a long while.
