We made a tea party using my china tea set that I got when I was little girl.
FOOD:
We made a bunch of different recipes that we've never tried before.
- FLAWLESS ROAST POTATOES
(I left out the couscous, but the technique make such a delicious crispy crust)
- BRITISH SCONES
These scones were delicious and we had them as a family with tea in true British fashion.
PLACES:
- We spent a lot of time learning about London. Big Ben, London Eye, Trafalgar Square, Tower of London and Buckingham Palace. We read lots of books about London. We created a small London as you can see in the photos and had lots of fun adding to it and playing with it.
- We saw photos of Hampton Court Palace.
- We watched a video (see below) about Stonehenge.
- We saw a brief video with an areal view of Durdle Door which is beautiful.
Here you can see a double decker bus we created with a shoebox and wheels. We also built Big Ben with Magnatiles. |
A view of the city including the London Eye. |
ART:
- Here you can see the soldiers up close and how we made them.
